Princess Park Lunatic Asylum Manor

Forget the Porsche, Ferrari and Lambo’s around Princess Park; the best way to roll is in the Renault Clio 1.6L! Student life a while back towards the end of summer after kicking some ball in the park.

Dom on that 90’s Business man vibe, with the phone to the ear locking ‘Sasha’ lool

Can’t remember what football match was on at the time but it appears to be England, who cares anyway everyone knows how that went down for the England camp.

Breakfast Lunch and Dinner all in one, providing the vital nutrients!

One crazy thing about the flat is that it was once a section of the Colney Hatch Lunatic Asylum (or Friern Hospital)!  An early Psychiatric Hospital located in Colney Hatch area in what is now the London Borough of Barnet. Where you find rich people and ‘celebrities’ living once was a damn psych hospital that was in operation from 1851 to 1993!

At its height, the lunatic Asylum was home to 3500 mental patients and had the longest corridor in Britain, and hence, its name was synonymous among Londoners with any mental institution. “It would take a visitor more than five hours to walk the wards.” After being closed in 1993, the building was converted into luxury flats under the name Princess Park Manor. The Asylum even had its own Railway station!

Not that I’ve seen any ghosts chillaxin or anything but, Some notable residents of the Asylum:

~ The Joker ( Yea Batman & I go way back lol, trust )

~ John Duffy, British serial killer and rapist.

~ Aaron Kosminski, a Jack the Ripper suspect.

~ Dorothy Lawrence, a woman who dressed as a man to fight on the front lines of World War I.

~ Maria Teresa Ferrari de Miramar, one of Aleister Crowley‘s wives.
